Local IT Industry Needs Solutions and Not the Code
A company running Windows-based applications would never discard a Java application if the results are coherent and the system efficiency is met.
In this case, the company is not bothered if the design is not implemented on Windows application tools.
What the programmers need to learn is to develop components and integrate them without jeopardizing the vulnerability of the system.
Worth of the programmers and value of coding was once evaluated on the development platform and the delivery time.
As the industry will grow mature, maintainable set of codes and reusable utilities will replace age-old single layered coding structures.
On the contrary, at present, geniune efforts are given less importance and industry pursues standard coding mechanisms so that projects are converted into products, and high value of returns are accumulated.
Microsoft does the same and we should learn from the great players of industry.
Microsoft never tries to become the innovator in introducing new technologies but it tries to learn from the innovator's mistakes and then in a very negligible time launches its products that rules due to their incorporated advance and improved features that outclass its competitors.
In a country, such as Pakistan, where diploma gets priority over degree, more manpower comes from shortcuts.
Unfortunately, the IT market, as a result, is flooded with developers with very little or almost no grounds in software engineering.
The mushroom IT institutes in every area of city can only help increasing awareness but cannot produce engineers.
Today, Pakistan needs a trade-off between short-course diploma holders and highly educated scientists.
We need software engineers who can come up with right solutions after proper research.
We don't need inventions every day, we need to learn implementation of technology in right place.

Many business graduates are good financial systems programmers and they have the edge of understanding single layer systems pretty fast, as compared to many systems engineers who fail to deliver the goods because they follow scientific steps.
In doing so they are always unable to meet the deadlines.
For markets, such as ours, cheap solutions are always given importance if they meet the basic requirements.
This is the reason why adoption of new technology is always delayed.
