How to Draw a Heifer
- 1). Draw a large horizontal rectangle with rounded corners. Draw a circle on the top right corner of the rectangle.
- 2). Draw a small vertical rectangle with rounded corners. The rectangle should be halfway inside of the circle and halfway inside the first rectangle.
- 3). Draw diagonal lines from the top corners of the rectangle to the edge of the circle. Erase everything inside of the small rectangle and the top line of the rectangle. Draw semi-circles from the diagonal lines to the outer edge of the sides of the vertical rectangle. Darken inside the semicircles.
- 4). Draw a rounded square inside the base of the vertical rectangle. Draw a small upward-curving line one-fourth of the way up from the bottom of the square. The line should not touch the edges of the square.
- 5). Draw the top half of a rounded square from the edges of the curving line. Draw two small ovals slanting toward the middle in the corners of the rounded square.
- 6). Draw horizontal leaf shapes extending out from the sides of the circle and level with eyes. Draw a curved line from where the base of the right ear meets the circle to halfway between the end of the nose and the bottom right corner of the large rectangle.
- 7). Connect the left side of the head to the large rectangle. Start with a curved line starting at the top of the circle, moving down behind the left ear and curving to meet the top edge of the rectangle. Erase the bottom right and left sides of the circle.
- 8). Draw a vertical line from the base the rectangle starting just after the lower right corner levels out. Bring the line down to half the distance of the height of the body. Draw a line to the left and parallel to the first, starting inside the rectangle above the base line.
- 9). Start the next line inside of the body to the left of the vertical lines and parallel to where the curved line ends in Step 6. Move the line diagonally to the left and down to the base of the large rectangle. Once the line passes the base line angle the line toward the vertical lines but not meeting them. Connect the end of all three lines with a horizontal line.
- 10
Start the next line one-quarter of the way to the right of the left edge of the rectangle and even with the start of the line in Step 9. Make a long curved line that stops one-quarter of the way out of the rectangle. Continue the line down vertically until it is even with the front legs. - 11
Draw a line to the right, and parallel to, the line in Step 10 and starting at the base of the rectangle. Draw another parallel line to the left of the line from Step 10 and starting on the left bottom corner of the rectangle. Connect the end of the three lines with a horizontal line. - 12
Draw the tail by extending the left top line of the rectangle out to the left then curving down vertically to the middle of the back legs. From the end of the line draw a diagonal line back up to the corner. Draw a small acute triangle with its tip meeting the tip of the tail. Erase the corner of the rectangle that separates the tail from the large rectangle. - 13
Add markings as you see fit. Outline the heifer in ink then erase any remaining pencil lines.
