Hoover Spin Scrub Steam Vac Instructions
- 1). Remove all parts from the carton and identify each part. You should have the carpet cleaner body, upper handle, handle bolts and nuts, hose holder, hose and tool holder with screw.
- 2). Attach the handle. Push the upper handle into the lower handle on the carpet cleaner body with the cord hook facing the back of the cleaner. Inset the bolts into the holes in the front. Do not attach the bolts at this time.
- 3). Attach the hose holder onto the screws that are used to attach the handle at the back of the machine. Attach the nuts to the screws. Use a Phillips screwdriver to fasten in place.
- 4). Attach the tool holder. Insert the holder into the slots at the back of the cleaner. Attach with the screws provided and tighten with a Phillips screwdriver.
- 5). Attach the hose to the carpet cleaner body. Insert the converter end of the hose over the tab near the tool holder. Press it firmly to snap into place. Attach the solution tube that is coming from the cleaner body to the hose converter. Wrap the hose around the hook at the upper end of the handle. Secure the hose by pressing it into the clips.
- 6). Fill the clean water solution tank. Remove the tank by pressing down on the handle and pulling forward. Remove the cap by rotating it counterclockwise and lifting up. Add the recommended amount of cleaning solution according to the manufacturers instructions on the solution bottle. Fill the tank with approximately one gallon of hot tap water to fill line B. Reattach the full tank to the cleaner.
- 1). Select the desired brush speed. The cleaner has three settings; hi, lo or off. Use hi for normal cleaning, lo for gentle cleaning, and off for bare floors or when the brushes are not necessary, such as when cleaning up spills.
- 2). Plug the carpet cleaner into a grounded electrical outlet.
- 3). Start at the end of the room furthest from the door or pathway to avoid walking on wet carpet. Step on the handle release pedal and move the handle to the operating position. Turn the cleaner on.
- 4). Squeeze the trigger on the handle to release the cleaning solution and push the cleaner forward. Continue to squeeze the trigger while pulling the cleaner back. Push the cleaner forward and back again over the same area without squeezing the trigger to extract the water and solution just deposited. Repeat these steps over the entire area to be cleaned overlapping your strokes by one inch to prevent streaking. For heavily soiled areas you may need to repeat the strokes several times.
