    • 1). Put on a dust mask and latex gloves. Detach the stock and barrel from the rolling stock. The process of doing this depends on the type of gun. Consult a gunsmith if you are not sure how to do this for your particular gun.

    • 2). Sand the rolling block with sandpaper, removing all the rust on the surface.

    • 3). Dip a rag into the microcrystalline wax treatment and rub it onto the rolling block in a circular buffing pattern.

    • 4). Reattach the barrel and stock to the gun.
