    • 1). Provide widespread access to EBPs. Currently there are several obstacles that must be overcome to implement successful EBPs, including: lack of qualified workforce and system capacity to handle EBPs; lack of support after implementation; and lack of sensitivity towards the best practices for particular cultures. Identify the need for EBPs, provide education and training, and be prepared to track the results and identify problems.

    • 2). Ask stakeholders and others responsible for funding to shift their focus towards EBPs. Be aware that implementing EBPs can require many financial resources and organizational changes. Work with community and government leaders to create budget plans and financing strategies that are obtainable towards the implementation of EBPs. Offer incentives to those who implement successful EBPs.

    • 3). Prepare the current practitioners for the inclusion of EBPs by providing a structured organizational plan. Work with all stakeholders to determine the needs of the practice by assessing risks, assets and other factors. Establish goals and objectives for the EBPs that include recognizing successes and investigating failures. Develop a culture of educated, dedicated practitioners of EBPs.
