Would Martin Short Do a "Jiminy Glick" Movie Again?: ?Oh yeah. Sure. I think I would do it again in a second. You learn from it. But I think that actors are constantly trying to reach a point where it sounds like they?re making up the words as they do the script. And so this is just taking out the middleman of the script.?
DVD Extras: ?There is just so much material that didn?t make the movie.
There?s about an hour of extra material and it?s just because? There?s a hilarious scene, I thought, between Jan Hooks and I as we?re doing a Ouija board because I?m nervous about meeting celebrities before the first premiere. We?re trying to contact Princess Diana and her father keeps coming in. It was hilarious but when you put it in the movie, it was a point where we felt, ?We can?t linger on this hotel anymore. We?ve got to get to that first movie. We can?t stay here.? So we had to take it out even though you went, ?Gee, I like the scene. It doesn?t quite work in the movie.? So there are many examples of that.?
Any Plans to Bring Back the Jiminy Glick TV Series?: ?No. Again, being Canadian we?re more like the British so we kind of? Like John Cleese did this brilliant TV series once called ?Fawlty Towers? and he did 12 episodes. That was it. So I kind of felt after 3 seasons of doing ? let?s face it, it is like you?re in latex ? so that we?d already talked to 60 Hollywood people for those 30 shows or whatever it was.
So you kind of think, ?I?ve done it.? And then you do a film and you say, ?Okay, that?s good. That?s the punctuation of that character experience.??
