    • 1). Visit Arabic Online (see Resources below). Click the "Introduction" link at the top of the left column to learn about the history of Arabic and see where Arabic is spoken around the world. Click the "Alphabet" link directly below to introduce yourself to the Arabic alphabet. Make your way down each link to complete a different Arabic language lesson.

    • 2). Log on to Babel: Arabic (see Resources below). Babel Arabic is a useful resource if you wish to learn basic Arabic phrases. Try the easy-to-follow Arabic writing lessons by clicking the "Writing 1" link on the left side of the page.

    • 3). Use the Arabic lessons on Speak 7 (see Resources below). The Speak 7 website offers free text, audio and video Arabic language lessons. Scroll down the homepage and click the "Arabic Translation" link on the left side of that page. Scroll down the page to read that particular lesson. Continue clicking the links in the left column to complete each of the Speak 7 lessons.

    • 4). Visit the Marhaba website (see Resources below). Marhaba is slightly different than the three websites listed above, because it uses Arabic phrases to teach Arabic grammar. Many of the lessons also contain interesting facts about the Arabic language and the Islamic religion. Use Marhaba after you have studied the basics of Arabic.

    • 5). Visit the Ukindia Learn to Read Arabic website (see Resources below). This site deals solely with learning to read and write in Arabic, with a tutorial on the Arabic alphabet and lessons on reading and writing words and entire sentences in Arabic. Scroll down the homepage to review the six lessons.
