How Do You Get From a Break Up to a Make Up?
Say you and your girlfriend have been going out for some time and it has been getting serious for you it may have seemed sudden when she announced she was not ready to settle down yet.
This would have come as a shock to you as you thought the relationship was going well but here you were standing outside the club with no girlfriend.
Thoughts were swirling around in your head like did you come on too strong and should you have put the brakes on a bit.
The problem with this thinking is it is all in hindsight, which means nothing when you have lost your girl.
So you are wondering what to do now as you walk home alone.
Though it is of no comfort as you cry into your bear the best thing is to do nothing.
Well not just yet any way.
It is possible that your girl got cold feet when you started talking about the L word.
This happens a lot you know and it can be sorted out you just need to know how.
She may also suffer from commitment phobia but that is another story.
Right now you should give her some space, as she may be totally freaked out.
This girl may have strong feelings for you but was not ready to go to the next level.
You need to get your head out of that beer and play this really smart.
Get yourself together and meet up with some guy friends, as they will be sure to make you feel better.
No drinking games though for it will make you feel lousy in the end.
You do not want this girl to see you at the club wallowing in a sea of alcohol.
As time goes by if she has not connected with you it could be time to make your move.
Be really cool about it as you cannot afford to scare her off again.
Meet somewhere quiet and try to keep it on an easy going level.
Say you like being with her and make sure you avoid the L word and that you are happy to keep things the way they were before the break up.
If this girl means a lot to you then you are going to have to take the relationship slower.
If she agrees and comes back make sure you do not get too serious.
Let her be the one to tell you if her feelings have got stronger.
This way you know she will be ready without any pushing from you.
A lot of relationships hit the wall because one partner wants more than the other and take it too fast.
You may not both get to the same point at the same time so just cruise.
If it is mean to get serious it will be when BOTH of you are ready.
