Location of Setting

• Thesis has its own pane within the WordPress dashboard, which allows you to centrally control all aspects of the Thesis theme. To enable full-width framework on your blog, choose "Design Options" from the "Thesis" pane, then click the "HTML Framework" section. Click your mouse inside the circle next to full-width framework, then choose the "Big Ass Save Button" to save the change.
  
  

Header

• The first portion of the blog affected by a switch to full-width framework is the header, or top section of the blog. If you use a custom image header, which you also upload in the "Design Options" section of the blog, setting the HTML framework to full-width extends the image from the left edge of the screen to the right. Using the page framework, on the other hand, creates margins to the left and the right of the header.
  
  

Content Area

• When you set the Thesis framework to full-width, the width of the content that displays below the header also shows in full-width, stretching from the far left side of the screen to the right side of the screen. The effect of the full-width framework on the main content area isn't as dramatic if you use sidebars on the left and/or right of your content, such as to display links to popular posts or ones that have many comments.
  
  

Advantages and Disadvantages of Full-Width Framework

• On the whole, using full-width framework leaves less "dead space" on your blog and allows you to fully utilize the span of the blog for your site's content. Some disadvantages of using full-width framework do exist however. Some mobile browsers, for example, may not be able to display full-width headers and content, which can result in different portions of the content being stacked on top of one another, rather than spanning across the screen. After you set the blog to full-width framework, view it in different browsers to make sure it always displays correctly.
