Being in the Marine Corp boot camp is certainly not easy but there are things you can do to make your life less painful during the 13-week intense training you would have to go through.
The Marine's boot camp is said to the toughest boot camp of the United States Armed Services aside from it's the longest.
Did you know that a Marine can enter any other branch of the Armed Forces without having to redo basic training? Whether you'll be in Parris Island or San Diego, you will be undergoing the same rigorous training.
Whenever you feel a little bit scared or you're close to giving up, remember that the boot camp is only temporary.
You'll get adjusted to the way of life in the Marine Corp boot camp and after being in there for a while, say 5 years or so, you'll think about the training as one cruel joke.
Avoid eye contact with your drill instructor because if he catches you, he's going to chew you alive.
Aside from that, if you look pass or through him, it won't be easy for him to intimidate you.
Whatever you do, always give your best.
This is what impresses the drill instructors the most- courage, passion, dedication and perseverance.
Prove to them that you are worthy to be in the Marines and you have what it takes to be an asset to the organization.
Do not volunteer for anything.
Sometimes those who always volunteer get into trouble.
There will be a lot of mind games in the Marine Corp boot camp and you really have to be smart.
Presence of mind is what will get you through the training.
Do not argue with your superiors, learn how to shut up but keep your eyes and ears open.
Stay focused and alert.
