Still Struggling to Lower Your Cholesterol?

Your doctor told you that your cholesterol was high, so you immediately changed your diet, right? You cut out red meat and fried food, and now you eat mainly vegetables, bread, and pasta, and everything should be fine.
But - your cholesterol is still sky high! What happened? Well, there are actually two types of diets that are associated with high levels of cholesterol.
One is the obvious - a diet high in fatty, fried foods and red meats.
But the other type of diet that can lead to high cholesterol includes a lot of sugar, bread, pasta, and other simple carbohydrates.
Simple carbohydrates are converted into LDL (bad) cholesterol in the bloodstream as they pass through the liver.
So simply cutting fat and meat out of your diet is NOT enough to reduce your cholesterol levels.
In fact, if you only cut out meat and fried foods, you may actually see your cholesterol levels RISE, because you are eating more pasta and bread to compensate for the lack of meat.
Okay, so now you are thinking, "I can't eat meat, I can't eat bread - I can't eat anything," right?Wrong.
The cholesterol problem is associated with SIMPLE carbohydrates.
Complex carbs do not become LDL cholesterol in your system.
Switch to wheat bread, wheat pasta, and brown rice.
Eat whole grain cereals.
Avoid sugary foods.
These are simple changes to make, and once you do you will finally start to see your cholesterol levels falling.
