    • 1). Cool your coffee pot to room temperature.

    • 2). Cut a fresh lemon into slices. Squeeze the juice from them into the coffee pot. Add the slices to the pot, too.

    • 3). Add 2 cups of ice and 3 tbsp. of salt. Pour in the water.

    • 4). Swish the coffee pot in circular motions, going clockwise. The spinning action will cause the contents of the pot to scour away the stains. Switch directions and swish counterclockwise. Make sure that you are scouring all discolored areas of the pot. Continue swishing and changing directions until all of the stains are gone.

    • 5). Spread a dry, folded towel on the counter. Remove and discard the lemon slices from the coffee pot. Empty the other contents from the pot and rinse it thoroughly under cool running tap water. Turn the sparkling-clean coffee pot upside down to drain and air-dry on the towel.
