Your next step is to find a way to grab the audience's attention. A lot of people find that humor is the best way to start out a public speech. At a wedding, this is no different. Start out with a wedding joke to engage everyone in the audience. Try something like 'Love is blind, but marriage can be a real eye opener!' This will set a fun tone for the rest of your speech. Here's a another great one, 'If a married man is alone in the forest, with no women around to hear him speak... Is he still wrong?'
