These ice covered berries in John Murray's garden look good enough to eat. One of the reasons so many berries persist through winter is that they need the softening effect of freezing and thawing to become palatable to birds. So I expect these berries to disappear soon enough. In the meantime, they make for colorful winter interest in an otherwise white garden.
