When the Realization Hits You That You Are Wasting Your Time in Trying to Get Your Ex Back

It might be a very difficult pill to swallow, but, if you and your ex parted ways a while ago, and you are still hoping for a reconciliation, you are probably wasting your time in trying to get your ex back.
You have to be able to come to terms with the situation, and tell yourself that enough is enough, and really make an effort to put the past behind you and get on with your life.
This is especially true if, in the time since your break-up, your ex has already had one or more other partners in his/her life.
If your ex has been enjoying life to the full, while you have been sitting around feeling utterly miserable, this should be a definite indication to you that you are wasting your time in trying to get your ex back.
He/she is obviously not interested in reconciliation and probably gets angry, bored, or embarrassed if and when you broach the subject.
This would be a good time to practice a little self-control, which in turn will lead to you having self respect, and gain some confidence in order to face the problem head-on, and start the adventure of enjoying your life all over again.
Also, if you have tried on many occasions to talk to your ex about a possible reconciliation, and he/she repeatedly shows no interest, you have to accept the fact that your life with him/her is over, and any more attempts at trying to get your ex back is a total waste of your time.
Your ex has by this time shown you on numerous occasions that the two of you will not get together again, so start putting all this pent-up energy into getting your own life back on track, so that you can be happy again, just as your ex obviously is.
If you and your ex were together for some time, you no doubt got into a routine with certain things and activities in your life.
This is an excellent time to get out of those routines and do things absolutely differently.
Having a complete change in your normal routine will help tremendously in getting your mind off your ex.
Changes in your usual routines will open many new doors for you, allowing you to meet new and exciting people and possibly a whole new circle of friends.
The key to getting through the trauma of a break-up is to keep yourself as busy as possible with positive things, which will soon get rid of all the negative things on your mind, which are really no help at all, but only help to make your life more miserable, which, in turn, makes it almost impossible for you to function properly.
It WILL be strange at first, but once you have started doing different things, either by yourself or with your new friends, you will begin to once again to look forward to the future, and realize that any more attempts at trying to get your ex back is futile and a total waste of your precious time.
