How to Clean Rosewood
- 1). Wet a soft cotton cloth with warm water and wash away any spills or significant debris on the rosewood. If there is none, forgo this step.
- 2). Dust the rosewood with a feather duster to remove any dirt before polishing. Avoid using any other type of duster, as they drag dust across the wood's surface and cause minute scratches.
- 3). Soak the soft cotton cloth in furniture polish specifically formulated for use on wood. A quality brand is important, as the polish protects the rosewood from damage between cleanings.
- 4). Work the furniture polish into the rosewood by rubbing the cotton cloth in small circles over its surface. Apple firm pressure while polishing to ensure the oil penetrates the wood's surface.
- 5). Dip a baby toothbrush into the furniture polish to reach any nooks in the rosewood. Use only a baby toothbrush, as its bristles are soft enough not to scratch the wood's surface.
- 6). Polish the wood's surface with a microfiber cloth. The cloth adds a shine to the rosewood and lifts excess furniture polish that could collect dust.
- 7). Repeat the cleaning process once every month to keep your rosewood healthy.
