    • 1). Visit the UNetbootin software page on Sound Forge (see Resources). Download the single-file program and run it by double clicking on "unetbootin-windows-latest.exe."

    • 2). Click the "Distribution" drop-down menu, then choose "FreeDOS." Select the highest version. Keep the default settings as is.

    • 3). Insert the USB drive into the computer.

    • 4). Select the USB drive under the "Drive" field, then click the "OK" button.

    • 5). Wait for the program to go through a four-step procedure. It must download, extract and copy files, then install the bootloader onto the drive.

    • 6). Reboot the computer with the USB drive in the port. FreeDOS should automatically start up.
