    • 1). Click the Windows "Start" button. Type "msconfig" into the search text box and press "Enter." This opens MSCONFIG.

    • 2). Click the "Startup" tab. This shows all the programs and services that start each time you log in to Windows. Programs with a check mark start, but programs without a check mark do not start.

    • 3). Remove the check mark next to the Netgear software listed in MSCONFIG. Click "Apply" to save your changes. You are prompted to reboot. Click "Restart" to reboot the computer so the changes take effect.
