Lack of Coding Skills Holding Your Blog Back?
With so much riding on your blog you really want your blog to stand out from the crowd.
To be sure standing out is as much a matter of being visible in the search engine results pages as it is a matter of having a clean and aesthetically pleasing blog layout.
But unless you pay someone to customize your WordPress blog for you these are exactly the things that you miss out on as a business blogger who lacks coding skills.
As a home based business professional myself I know how important it is to have a blog that gets the job done.
I also know how difficult it is to try building a blog without having any web design know-how.
My lack of CSS and PHP knowledge led to me pouring tons of dollars into custom blog design work that never gave back anything in return.
Fortunately, my lack of blog design experience no longer gets in the way of growing my online business because I've found a solution.
That solution is called Headway Themes.
Headway Themes is a premium third-party WordPress template platform that allows non-coders to customize the look and feel of their WordPress blogs using a drag and drop interface.
So let's take a look at how Headway Themes is helping me to grow my online web presence through customizing and developing my blog-even though I lack coding experience.
One of the things that I had a difficult time doing before purchasing the Headway Themes license was customizing my blog's appearance.
Headway has made it possible for me to completely alter my blog's layout using Headway's drag and drop design editor.
Drag and drop design means that instead of having to move the placement of one or all of my blog elements by using CSS I can simply point my mouse cursor to the item that I want to move or resize and drag that element with my mouse until the revised version suits my liking.
Elements that Headway allows you to change or adjust using this drag and drop functionality include your header, footer, side bars, navigation, blog content, and more.
Being able to change so many elements according to your preference is what allows you as a Headway Themes license holder to give your blog a look that's totally different from all of the other blogs in your niche that you compete against.
Another aspect of Headway that has helped me to push my blog forward despite my inability to do my own blog coding is Headway's SEO functionality.
Before getting Headway I had to take the trouble to do the following things:
- Sift through numerous SEO plugins just so that I could find one that allowed me to add meta title, description, and tags.
- Remember to manually edit the default URL's that WordPress gives you when you create a new blog post or blog page so that the URL's would be more SEO friendly.
- Remember to manually add the "no index" or "no follow" tags to links, posts and pages that I didn't want the search engines to pay attention to.
Headway comes with a complete set of built-in search engine optimization features that not only helps to automate each of the things that I mentioned above-but it also goes a lot further than this.
For example, beneath each post or page that I'm create in blog I now see a built-in preview of how that page or post will look on the search engine results.
This is based upon the words that I type into the meta tag fields.
Another really nice SEO benefit of Headway is that it automatically creates bread-crumb links at the top of each blog post or category page and these breadcrumbs help make your blog more visible to the search engines as well.
There are circumstances when I need more than drag and drop functionality or SEO friendliness to help me build my blog and that's where Headway's support comes into play.
Headway includes professional support.
Headway support consists of a very and helpful support community.
However, if that's not enough to help you push your blog forward AJ, Chris Howard, Clay, and Grant are more than sufficient to get you out of any jams that you can sometimes find yourself in when coding is not your specialty.
Just to reiterate we have just seen how Headway has helped me, someone with no web design ability, to succeed at customizing my blog.
Headway has made this possible through its drag and drop visual editor, SEO functionality, and their phenomenal support.
In closing, if your inability to use web design code has left you struggling to customize your WordPress blog you'd be hard-pressed to find a better out of the box solution than Headway Themes.
So if you haven't taken a look at Headway yet, then I strongly suggest that you at the very least investigate it further.
