How to Tell if My iPhone Has Been Compromised
- 1). Switch your iPhone on and go to the "home" screen. Disable your screensaver and open the "home" menu, then select the "SMS" icon to open the program.
- 2). Check to see if you have any messages in your Inbox displaying only a square. If you do, this is a sign that your iPhone has been compromised.
- 3). Monitor your iPhone's battery life. If it seems to be running low quicker than it used to, this could indicate that the phone has been hacked. The extra use causes the battery to drain faster.
- 4). Take note the temperature of the iPhone when you are using it. This can be done with your hands rather than a thermometer. Compare this temperature to how the iPhone feels when it is not making calls. If the phone stays warmer for longer periods of time, it could indicate that the network system is being used.
- 5). Stay alert to a mild buzzing noise, audible when the iPhone is not in use. This is caused by the microphone being compromised and sending the recordings over the network.
