How to Put Videos from the Internet on to Windows Media Player

    • 1). Visit a conversion website such as convertfiles.com (see "Resources").

    • 2). Click on the URL tab. Copy and paste the video's website address from the original site to the textbox.

    • 3). Choose a video format you prefer by clicking on the "output format" drop-down menu. A good one to use is "WMV," which is the the Windows Media Video format.

    • 4). Click "Convert" to begin converting and downloading the video onto your computer.

    • 5). Open Windows Media Player from the "Start" menu. Click the icon in the top-left corner to get a drop-down menu. Select "Video." Open the folder containing your new file, which may be "My Downloads" depending on your settings. Click and drag the file from the folder to WMP. It should now be listed in your library and playable there.
