How to Deactivate the Scroll Lock Without a Scroll Lock Key
- 1). Press the "Fn" and "Pause/Break" or "Fn" and "Num Lock" keys if the keyboard has them. This combination takes the place of the Scroll Lock key on some keyboards.
- 2). Click "Start," "All Programs," "Accessories," "Accessibility," "On-Screen Keyboard."
Alternatively, click "Start," "Run," then type "OSK" or "Search" for "osk.exe." - 3). Click the "SLK" button (at the top right, past the function keys) on the On-Screen Keyboard to turn Scroll Lock on and off as needed.
