How to Build a Pasta Tower

    • 1). Break (or cut) several pieces of spaghetti in half. Keep the pieces as even as possible.

    • 2). Connect three spaghetti sticks using marshmallows to create the bottom and sides of a square. Don't push the spaghetti all the way through the marshmallows. Your three-sided structure should be lying flat.

    • 3). Attach a piece of spaghetti to each of the top marshmallows, and angle them up and in to create a pentagon. Connect the two pieces with another marshmallow. This will cause your square to stretch at the top, but that's the desired effect. The structure should still be lying flat as this is the base of your tower.

    • 4). Place a stick of spaghetti in the marshmallow at the top of the pentagon and a stick in each of the bottom marshmallows to form a pyramid. Attach the three sticks with a marshmallow at the top of the pyramid.

    • 5). Place an upright stick of spaghetti in each of the marshmallows that form the base pentagon. Top each stick with a marshmallow.

    • 6). Connect the upright sticks to form another pentagon, sticking the pasta into the marshmallows around the top.

    • 7). Connect the marshmallow of the two upper corners (not the point) of the top pentagon to the marshmallow at the top of the pyramid in the center to stabilize the second layer. You may have to adjust the size of spaghetti for this connection.

    • 8). Repeat the process of building a pyramid within a pentagon until your tower reaches the desired height. You may need to add extra supports along the way. If you notice any weak areas, stabilize them with spaghetti supports that stretch between two marshmallows. Shorter pieces work better.
