    • 1). Turn on your computer and immediately insert the first Windows XP installation disk into the computer's CD drive. When prompted, press any key to launch the Windows XP install program.

    • 2). Follow the on-screen instructions--accept the EULA and choose to install XP rather than repairing an existing installation--until you get to the screen that asks you which drive you wish to install Windows XP onto.

    • 3). Select one the partitions available to you. If you only have one partition or unallocated space, you will need to re-format and re-partition your hard drive (see Resources). Press "Enter" to choose the desired partition as the partition you wish to install this version of XP onto.

    • 4). Select the file system you wish to format the partition in, or choose "Leave current file system intact" to skip the formatting process if the partition has already been formatted.

    • 5). Continue through the Windows XP installation, following the on-screen instructions as needed. You will eventually be prompted to choose a name for your computer, set the time and date, and input the 25-character Windows XP serial key during the installation.

    • 6). Restart your computer once the installation process has finished and eject the Windows XP installation disk, then replace it with the install disk for the next version of XP. Repeat Steps 1 through 5 to install the second operating system on your computer. Make sure you select a different partition to install this version of XP onto so that it will not overwrite the first installation.

    • 7). Restart your computer once the installation has finished. You will now be presented with a boot menu from which you may choose either installation of Windows XP.
