- Chamomile is an herb that can be used in a tea and is very soothing for headaches.
- Feverfew has been known to reduce inflammation and to decrease headache pain. You can use feverfew in a tea or in a tincture.
- Valerian root is a mild sedative that can alleviate headache pressure. You can use Valerian root in tincture form for maximum potency.
- Use lavender in a compress on your forehead, and it will reduce the pain of your headache. Just add a few drops to a warm, wet cloth, and lay it across your forehead.
- Thyme can be used as a steam to reduce headache pain. Simply add dried thyme to hot boiling water, lower your face 12 inches (no closer) over the bowl, and cover your head with a towel. Do this for 5 to 10 minutes.
