• 1). Open Windows Media Player.
  
  
• 2). Click on "Tools" and then "Options" from the Media Player toolbar. Select "Once a Day" under Automatic Updates to view the Media Player updates.
  
  
• 3). Click "OK" to confirm that you want to upgrade your Media Player. Allow the installation to complete.
  
  
• 4). Restart your computer to finish the installation.
  
  

Upgrade Online

• 1). Visit the Microsoft website. Select the "Windows" drop box and select "All Windows Products."
  
  
• 2). Click on the "Downloads and Trials" drop box. Select "Windows Media Player Downloads."
  
  
• 3). Click "Download Now" under the latest Media Player that is compatible with your computer's system.
  
  
• 4). Allow Media Player to download to your computer. When it's finished, restart your computer to finish the process.
