Blogging in Real Time - Can You Predict the Future?

103 36
I know if you could predict the future you probably wouldn't need to be looking for an internet business income opportunity or worrying about making money on the internet from your blog.
You would be able to back all the winning horses, or make a killing on the stock market or pick the winning lottery numbers.
Sure this is just fantasy right.
Just bear with me for a while.
Do you remember when the plane landed in the Hudson and within minutes pictures of the story began to circulate the web.
Of course we all remember the heroic efforts of the pilot in saving the lives of many and preventing what could have been a horrible unthinkable catastrophe.
Almost instantly Twitterers were tweeting images of the plane floating on the river.
The story was breaking news all over the globe.
The TV stations had no reporters on the scene and the BBC and ABC were screening pictures captured on mobile phones.
Apart from depicting what could arguably be described as a miracle this story manifests how much our world has changed over the last decade.
There would have been no pictures for at least several hours.
The full story would not have been read for the best part of a day when the inevitably slow press machinery had gone to work.
But there was something else going on.
Due to the modern technology the story was self perpetuating, people were talking and sharing, the story gathered momentum.
In a word it had enormous, massive, self perpetuating BUZZ.
I hope you are still with me on this one.
Thanks.
I hear what you say, what relevance is this to me, my blog, seeing into the future and more importantly to me making money with my blog.
Yes I agree you're a bit late to blog about a plane crash landing on the Hudson.
And let's hope it doesn't happen again because I seriously doubt the result would be as wonderful next time round.
Well you want your blog to be interesting and to attract attention don't you? Within the market or niche you operate in is there some event that will be happening in the future but of course the outcome is at least a little uncertain.
I bet there is if you think about it.
Will it be newsworthy or better still will there be a buzz.
Yes unlikely to be such a buzz as the plane story but nevertheless are you beginning to see where I'm going with this.
Could this be a way of getting ahead of the curve and in front of your competition to attract visitors to your blog? How about an example.
Say you are in the golf niche.
If you know anything about golf or to be fair even if you don't the fact that you can read this article means you will know who generates the greatest amount of buzz in the golf world.
This is especially so at the time of writing and mostly to do with little related to golf.
I am writing this in March just before the start of the Masters.
A few months ago I was blogging about Tiger Woods and whether he would be back for the Masters (amongst other stories).
What a story it would make if Tiger were to bite back immediately to win the Masters.
How newsworthy would that be, how much buzz would that attract? What are the chances of him doing this? So maybe here's the way to get ahead of the curve whether Tiger wins or not.
Start writing now about the Masters, Tiger's comeback, how many Majors he's won.
Will he eventually catch Nicklaus? Write about his previous wins at Augusta.
Now start writing about how he won the Masters next month-but write it now.
Be ready to post the story.
If he's got a 3 shot lead going into the back 9 post it before he's actually won.
Be the first out there with the story.
If he loses rewrite and repost the story about How Tiger had it won until the final hole, or when he found the water at sixteen etc etc.
You'll need to use your imagination a little.
The secret in simple terms is to identify a buzz worthy future uncertain event in your niche.
Start writing and posting now about what happened before, what might happen in the future, what is happening in real time and what happened ( immediately after the event or even during it if possible).
Hope this helps you generate real buzz worthy content, attract visitors and helps make you lots of money in your online business.
