Add 20 or more titles to your queue. This is important and you will understand why later. If you can not find 20 titles, add as many as you can. - 2). Review and learn the availability options. They are "Long Wait", "Short Wait", "Now", "Releases on 00/00/00". These options alert you as to when this title might be available for shipping.
- 3). Review and learn the "Add" Options.
They are "Add", "Save" "Play", "Add to Instant".
* "Add" will add the title to your queue.
Tip: After clicking "add", there is an option to push it to the top of your queue.
* "Save" is for unreleased titles. Click save to add the unreleased title to your "Save-Queue".
* "Play" will open up a player and play the movie on your computer.
* "Add to Instant Queue" will add the title to a special queue for watching later on your Netflix compatible device.
TIP: To pull up the "Add to Instant Queue" option, hover over "Play" and it will pop up. - 4
Organize your list. The titles at the top of the list are the highest priority and will arrive first. Any title that is set to "Short Wait" or "Long Wait" should be pushed to the very top. This puts you in line to get this title at the highest priority-level you can achieve. Putting the title lower will reduce your spot in line more than it already is. Put "Long Wait" titles first, followed by "Short Wait" titles, followed by the "Available Now" Titles that you want to get first. - 5

Balance your instant-queue with your disc-queue. Do not under estimate the quality of the instant view titles. Some are available in HD and look much better than a standard DVD. The "standard resolution instant titles" are lower than DVD quality but still look darn good. Remember, you can watch all the instant titles you want without affecting your disc-queue. - 6

Add as many titles as you can to the "Save" list. There is no list in Netflix for unreleased titles so here's how to find them. Open up your favorite movie theater website. Look at the top 10 box office hits and type those titles into Netflix search field. You will find everything in "Save" status. Its even possible to find movies still in production, in the "Save" status. The intent here is, the earlier you add a title, the closer you are to the front of the line. As soon as any title comes out of the Save Queue and into your disc-queue, you want to move it to the top of your disc-queue. This ensures you are as close the front of the wait list as possible. - 7

Organize unreleased titles in your disc queue, you will likely have more than one. Push the title that will be released the soonest to the top in chronological order. Now as each title is released it will be at the top and ready to send. Once the title ships, it is removed from the list and the next one takes the top spot in order of release. - 8

Report all problems. If a disc arrives broken, scratched or defective, click the "report problem" link right away. Netflix will register your issue and offer you a replacement right away or you can just accept the next disc in your queue.
TIP: If you get a Blu-ray disc that is physically fine but will not play in your Blu-ray player, update the firmware on your Blu-ray player. If that does not solve the issue, report the problem to Netflix. It is best in this case to accept the next disc in your queue instead of a replacement. Odds are the disc uses a technology incompatible with your player and your player has no update to match it yet. You can reorder the movie later in standard DVD or you can wait a month or two, to see a proper update becomes available for your Blu-ray machine. - 9). Send viewed discs back as soon as possible.
