Exercise For the Busy Mom, Is There Such Thing?

If your house is like mine, crammed full of energetic children, a hard-working husband and a list of daily chores as long as your arm, then you have probably foregone the old exercise regime simply because you don't have the time anymore.
In the middle of a hectic and crazy-paced schedule, finding time for exercise when you are a full-time Mom can seem pretty low down on the priorities list.
The good news is that it doesn't have to be.
Lots of Mom's think to themselves that they'll wait for the kids to move out before they resume their old exercise regime, or they'll get a nanny, or something else will some up.
Unfortunately, these things never seem to happen as quickly as you like, and you end up putting it off indefinitely.
You have to believe that you are worth the little extra effort (and it will go some way to keeping you sane as an extra advantage), and that you can make small adjustments to your priorities in order to exercise at home and still keep the children and hubby happy.
In my experience, I find that exercising when the rest of the family go to bed is the best plan, but it might be different for you.
You might find that the best time is when everyone else is at work or school, or even early in the morning before they get up - whichever you choose it's only a small change to your current lifestyle that can make all the difference.
And there are so many ways you can do it - check out which one is best for you.
If your mornings are really hectic, then don't try to do so much in the morning.
If you find that you prefer to spend some QT with the kids and hubby in the evenings, then don't compromise that.
You can even incorporate the kids or your husband into working out with you - this can be great for your exercise regime and it also can be great for bringing the family together, not to mention a lot of fun.
Also, take a look at some of the online fitness websites that allow you to download fitness regimes, and then track your progress over the internet.
One of the best things about these websites is that you can get a full workout at home, and you never have to worry about how good you look in a leotard, or whether your socks match! Throughout our lives we always spend the most time with the things that are most important to us personally.
Your family is probably the most important thing in your life, so it figures that you will spend more time with them, but you don't need to neglect yourself in the process.
Make a little time for yourself, take the time to exercise properly and you'll find that not only do the daily chores seem a little easier, but you feel much happier about yourself as well.
