How to Sort Icons on My iPhone
- 1). Unlock your iPhone from sleep if you have not already done so. Press the round button below the touchscreen and slide the "unlock" bar.
- 2). Highlight the icon you want to move. Hold your finger down on the icon for at least two full seconds, at which point all the icons on your screen will begin shaking, with black Xs appearing over their top left corners. Do not press any of the Xs--these will delete your app.
- 3). Drag the icon you wish to move to a new location. Hold down your finger on the shaking icon for at least two seconds, and move your finger either left (to move it forward in your directory of apps) or right (to move backwards), without lifting it, then release once you've placed it in the desired location.
- 4). Hit the round button below the touchscreen again so that your apps won't move or be deleted when you touch their icons.
