Samsung F700 Tips
- The extra features of the F700 may require additional memory to save files. For example, if you want to keep many albums worth of music on your phone, you will need to install a memory card. The F700 supports microSD cards up to 4GB. The more files you plan on saving to your phone, the larger the memory card should be. Fortunately, microSD cards are inexpensive.
To insert a microSD card, remove the battery cover to expose the memory card slot. Slide the card into the slot with the contacts facing up until it clicks in place. When secure, place the battery cover back on the phone. - You can enter information into the phone using either the pop-up keyboard on the touchscreen or with the full QWERTY keyboard. In general, the full keyboard is easier to use when typing out longer messages. There is a higher risk of the touchscreen misreading your touch compared with the full keyboard. Try each to see which is easier for you.
- The F700 includes a feature called "Mobile Tracker" to help recover your phone if it is stolen. When activated, "Mobile Tracker" will send the contact number of your phone's new user to two of your phone's contacts when a different SIM card is inserted in the phone. This information can be used to track down and recover your phone.
To activate "Mobile Tracker," touch the "Main Menu" icon, the "Tools" icon, "Security" and "Mobile Tracker." Enter your password in the text field and touch the check mark icon. Touch "Activation," "Recipients" and the "Phonebook" icon to choose two contacts from your list who will receive the information. Press "OK" when finished. Touch "Sender," enter your name and touch the check mark icon. Save the settings to complete the activation of "Mobile Tracker."
