  Celebrate friendship with a garden party-themed Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck party that commemorates the girly duo. Turn your home into a "Daisy" garden and invite best girlfriends to enjoy a "girls only" day of treats and crafts. This party can be held indoors or out and works best with girls ages 3 to 8.
  
  

Minnie and Daisy Invitations

• Make a photo invitation by snapping a picture of your child with Minnie Mouse and Daisy plush toy characters or in front of a poster featuring the characters. Create and order the invitations at a site such as Shutterfly.com or Snapfish.com. Alternatively, if you own a photo editing program, such as Adobe Photoshop, use it to make your own invitations. Use wording that plays on the theme, such as "Oh Toodles, Look Who is Turning 3. Come Celebrate with the Gals. Join us in Minnie and Daisy's Garden, 120 Montgomery St., at 3:00 p.m. on February 5th for a celebration."
  
  

Decorate your "Daisy" Garden

• Transform your home into a "girly" garden, perfect for Minnie and Daisy, by decorating it with flowers and garden accents. Place real or silk flowers throughout the house--make sure you use some daisies in the bouquets. Use a green table cloth on the table and add garden-themed accents, such as a large flower pot to serve as a napkin holder. Purchase a new watering can to hold lemonade. Buy flower-themed tableware in which to serve the food and drinks. Place small figurines or plush toys of Minnie and Daisy throughout the house to serve as additional decorations.
  
  

"Girl Power" Crafts

• Set up a craft table so that girls can create their own small compacts and flowered barrettes similar to those worn by Minnie and Daisy. Place a supply of empty breath mint tins (3 to 4 inches across and 1/2-inch high) and packages of metal, bare hair barrettes on the table. Set out an array of decorative items, such as pom poms, silk flowers, fabric scraps cut to fit the top of the mint tins, fake jewels, sequins, beads and buttons. Make sure you stock the craft table with several bottles of craft glue. Assign a volunteer to help children create their barrettes and compacts. When the items dry, package them in a pretty paper bag or box and send them home with the children.
  
  

Girl-friendly Finger Foods

• Continue your garden party theme by serving fresh, light foods including tea sandwiches, fruit and pastries. Make different types of sandwiches, including peanut butter and jelly, cheese and egg salad. Use a flower-shaped cookie cutter to cut the sandwiches into a bouquet of shapes. Accompany the sandwiches with fruit and veggie trays. Bake mini-muffins and scones. Purchase or make a batch of frosted cupcakes. Transform them into a flowery dessert by topping them with one gumdrop and marshmallow petals (cut two marshmallows into thirds and arrange them around the gumdrop on top of the cupcakes).
