How to Remove a Radio Faceplate From a 2005 Toyota Highlander
- 1). Place the blade of either the flathead screwdriver or the putty knife between the dashboard and the faceplate that goes around the air conditioner and radio. Gently pry back until you can grip it with your hands.
- 2). Pull the faceplate back gently, working your way around the perimeter of the faceplate with gentle pressure to release the clips that hold it in place. Once you have them all free, you can set the faceplate aside.
- 3). Unscrew the stereo from the dashboard using the Phillips-head screwdriver. Then pull out the stereo and air conditioner controls, and unplug the wiring to the stereo from the back using your hands.
- 4). Disconnect the radio from the air conditioner control faceplate by using a Phillips-head screwdriver.
