It would really be very frustrating for any couple if they are trying their best to have a second baby but remains unsuccessful.
The doctors find it difficult to identify the cause of the problem and can't provide alternative methods.
Others may say that it is a matter of luck or they are not simply given another opportunity to raise a child.
But will that be enough to stop couples who have been diagnosed with unexplained secondary infertility? Secondary unexplained infertility happens to almost 6% of American couples.
Of course, it is certain that abnormalities are present with one or both of the couple but physicians simply find it too difficult to detect it yet.
One of the possible reasons for this is improper timing of the release of the egg in time for fertilization, weakness of the sperm, and disturbance with the transportation of the zygote and failure in implantation.
If these happen, then couple would probably be diagnosed with secondary unexplained infertility.
Abnormal Fallopian Tubes The slightest abnormality in the functioning of your fallopian tubes will signal secondary unexplained infertility.
The fallopian tubes are very important because it serves as the bridge between the ovary and the uterus wall where implantation will occur.
Luteinised Unruptured Follicle Syndrome This is an abnormal timing in the release of the corpus luteum of the woman which is a lot earlier than the release of the egg that needs to be further nurtured thus resulting to a blocked ovulation.
Immune System Problems Our immune system is designed to protect the body against invading organisms but at times it may also get confused and attack the healthy cells of your body, sometimes the eggs or the sperms.
Emotional Factors This is probably one of the major causes of secondary unexplained infertility.
The mind can do more than the body can provide.
If you are living in a stressed environment and lack sufficient rest; it would be impossible to produce healthy eggs and sperm.
Your doctors cannot detect this easily unless you become honest about this.
If you are trying your best to be conceived for over two years or more after your first child but fails to see positive results, then it would be best to consult your gynecologist or specialist about this.
They may require you to undergo several medical examination and laboratory tests but all of these are necessary for them to have the best diagnosis of the problem.
