Working at Home - What to Do When You Don"t Know What to Do First

103 12
Sometimes working at home can get overwhelming.
In fact, it can happen a lot, as you probably know.
For every task complete, 10 more seem to grow in their place.
There are so many possibilities.
So many choices.
So much to do.
OUR BIGGEST ENEMY Our biggest enemy in this situation is brain fog.
Our brains aren't wired to take in 15 things at one time.
So what happens? We blow a circuit.
Or two.
That's the first thing we DON'T want to do.
To do our best work and be on our toes, we need a brain that is firing on all circuits.
Or more.
WHAT TO DO? We need to get clear.
Fast.
We need to focus.
On one thing.
At one time.
HOW DO WE DO THAT? Two words.
Tunnel Vision.
Sometimes when we work at home, it will be our best ally.
TWO STEPS It takes two steps.
1 - Pick something.
The best thing of course is the most important thing.
Either long or short term.
What needs to be done? What will show the most results.
2 - Ignore everything else.
That's it.
Next time you find yourself overwhelmed with all that you need to do when you work at home, think tunnel vision.
Pick something and ignore the rest.
Don't get overwhelmed with your choices.
Don't micro analyse them.
Don't panic.
Don't let too many choices and brain fog paralyse you so that you do nothing.
Just follow this simple plan and you will be off and running in no time.
And somehow, you won't feel so overwhelmed.
