Divorce happens for a reason. While reason for divorce vary from one case to another, the most common reasons why couple's marital relationship is put at stake include their personal predicaments as well as individual experiences. According to a recent survey, the most common causes of divorce include the following conditions:

First, the age matters. Teens who get married are likely to get divorce while couples whose age during the wedding ceremony is around 25 are more likely to live up to the ideals of the wedding vow.

Second, lack of proper discussion of expectations before the ceremonial vow is also a reason. When couples do not talk about their expectations of each other and their expectations of the union, they fall prey to resolving marital conflicts the quick way, and not through proper resolution of issues. Whether you believe it or not, there are divorce cases on grounds of snoring of one party.

Third, lack of communication between husband and wife leads to divorce. If the lines of communications for both husband and wife are closed and ended, divorce starts. If one party does not want to open up about his or her own feelings, problems and personal issues, then the marriage is likely to fail. The other party is left guessing what the problem is all about until he or she meets the saturation point and give up on the union.

Fourth, if divorce is part of the history of a family, it is more likely influence people who are part of that family. This is true. Most people who hail from divorce homes are prone to getting divorce than people who come from a family with strong marital unions.

Fifth, cohabitation is also a factor. A married couple who went for cohabitation before the wedding ceremony has a higher chance to seek divorce than a couple who did not go for cohabitation before the wedding.

There are also cases when couples do not find causes of divorce early in their marriage. In some cases, couples also ignore potential causes in the hope that they just go away and vanish as time rolls on. However, when you think that your marriage is on the rocks, it is better off to talk to your partner if you can still save the union or not. It is the best thing to do. Do not push yourself to the limit. Remember that it takes two to tango. The failure of one dancer ruins the whole dance routine.
