How to Troubleshoot iPhone Applications
- 1). Click the blue "App Store" icon on the home screen of your iPhone.
- 2). Click the "Updates" tab in the lower right corner of the App Store browser.
- 3). Check to see if your problematic app has an update available. If it does, it will appear on the list on your screen.
- 4). Click the name of the app if it appears. This will take you to the main page of the application.
- 5). Click the button that appears directly next to the name of the app. It should say "Free," unless the update costs money, in which case it will show the price of the update.
- 6). Click your app and test to see if the update fixed your problem.
- 1). Press the app icon and hold your finger until all of the apps on your screen begin to shake.
- 2). Press the "x" that appears alongside the troublesome app. This will delete the app from your iPhone.
- 3). Click the "App Store" icon on your home screen.
- 4). Download the app again. You can search for it by clicking the "Search" tab at the bottom of your screen and entering the name in the search bar that appears.
- 5). Exit the App Store and test the app that you just re-downloaded.
- 1). Plug your iPhone into your computer using the USB cable that came with your iPhone.
- 2). Open iTunes. Your iPhone should appear as a device in the left column of the iTunes browser, indicated by an icon resembling your iPhone.
- 3). Click the "iPhone" icon.
- 4). Click the "Check for Update" box in the middle of the page, in the "Version" section of your iPhone summary.
- 5). Click "OK" to update if an update is available.
