Treat simple wounds with grease (unknown type) and honey. Apply to the wounded area to prevent infection from dirt. If deep enough, stitch, bringing two edges together with clean linen strips. - 2
Apply a variety of substances over five days to burns. One the first day, apply black mud. wrapped in linen strips. On day two, apply the excrement of sheep or small cattle. On day three, blend an ointment of oil, acacia, carob and barley dough. For day four, mix wax, papyrus and almond paste and apply to burn. On the final day of treatment, apply a mixture of red ocher, carob, copper flakes and a tree leaf that has not been identified. - 3
Cure the "suffering in half the head," or migraine headaches. Fry the skull of a catfish. Anoint the aching side of the head with the cooked product. Scholars doubt the effectiveness of this recorded cure. - 4
Treat a cold with an ointment of equal parts lead sulphide, honey, dry incense and an unknown plant. The product was placed in the sufferer's nose for four days.This was known as "painting the nose."
