- The Convenience of Work Voicemail Access at Homeoffice phone image by TheSupe87 from Fotolia.com
Voicemail Pro is a powerful and useful system that allows off-site workers to manage their voicemail efficiently, just as if they were in the office. Produced by Avaya, Voicemail Pro is ideal for telecommuters and those who only occasionally work from home. Here's what's needed to run this useful software. - Voicemail Pro will operate with Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7. Any computer capable of running these operating systems will easily be able to operate the Voicemail Pro software. However, you may want to run it through company computers solely for the sake of security.
- The telecommuter will need a current version of Internet Explorer, Safari or Firefox. Chrome and Opera are not currently supported by the software. Safari and Firefox are easily downloaded from Apple or Mozilla.
- Voicemail Pro, on the enterprise end, requires a server running a server operating system, such as Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2008. It will need a secure Internet connection, preferably a wired one. Your email client will also need to support the IMAP standard; it likely already does, but check before setting up the program.
