What Do I Need to Start Deejaying on Virtual DJ?
- Virtual DJ is readily available as a stand-alone software, but for the complete deejaying experience, you will need more hardware. The game is compatible with most standard DJ controllers, including the Hercules RMX, DN 3700, CDJ 400 and ICDX. Most sound cards are also compatible, including the X-Session Pro, UC33E, ZERO4 and DJM-800.
- To mix and scratch music videos, you will need one of several video formats. Virtual DJ is compatible with DVD, DivX, xvid, Mpeg1/2/4, avi, wmv, mov, and vob formats, though others can be used as well. The software's Subframe Engine provides smooth scratches at any speeds.
- Minimal PC system requirements for Virtual DJ include an Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon XP, 1024x768 screen resolution, DirectX compatible soundcard, 512 MB RAM and at least 50 MB of hard drive space. Minimal Mac requirements include an Intel Processor, MAC OS X v10.5, 1024x768 screen resolution, CoreAudio compatible Soundcard, 1024 MB RAM and 50 MB of hard drive space.
