How to Make an Inflatable Suit
Preparation
- 1). Design a rough idea of what your suit will look like. Popular versions of inflatable suits are sumo wrestlers, ninjas, giant babies or generic males or females.
- 2). Break the design into four pieces: top front, top back, bottom front, bottom back. It is best to allow extra space in the design, for thicker, stronger seams. Decorate the exterior of the air-tight material according to your tastes, and then use the scissors to cut according to your design. Latex sheeting can be purchased online or at certain novelty stores.
- 3). Mend the quarters of the suit with the tape along the inside seams. Tape the bottom half together, then the top half.
- 4). Put the inflatable suit on and mend the top and bottom halves together with the tape or rubber cement around your waist, leaving a small opening for the air pump's nozzle. Apply the sutures around your feet, wrists and collarbone to prevent air from escaping.
- 5). Have a trusted friend start pumping air into the opening at your waist. Use the tape to plug any unexpected holes. Adjust the sutures for efficiency and comfort.
