    • 1). Run water from the tap until it's hot enough to give off steam. Using hot water will make your vinegar solution even more effective since hot water helps cut through grease and other difficult-to-remove grime.

    • 2). Wash the funnel thoroughly with a little vinegar on a cloth. Measure one cup of hot water and pour it into a spray bottle, using the funnel to prevent spilling

    • 3). Measure one cup of white vinegar and add it to the spray bottle, using the funnel.

    • 4). Screw the lid on tightly. Close the nozzle. Shake well. If the nozzle is open, the liquid can leak out if the bottle is squeezed during shaking.

    • 5). Set the nozzle to mist. (Using the stream setting can cause the cleaner to splatter where it isn't needed.) Spray cleaner onto the surface. Use vinegar on leather, glass, counter tops, porcelain, chrome, stainless steel and linoleum. Allow it to sit for about 10 seconds and wipe the area clean with a cloth. Repeat if necessary. To clean burners, allow the solution to sit for 20 minutes and scour with a brush or scouring pad. For smelly fabrics, spray and allow time to dry. Vinegar doesn't stain or bleach.

    • 6). Rinse cloth thoroughly after cleaning. Sprinkle baking soda on the cloth to remove any stains gained by cleaning, and then wash it.

    • 7). Label the spray bottle and store any remaining solution.

    • 8). Simmer the solution on the stove when it's time to clean again.
