How Coffee Affects Your High Blood Pressure

There are millions of people each day that drink coffee.
Some drink it as if it was water and drink several cups of coffee each day.
The key ingredient in coffee is caffeine.
Since caffeine is a stimulant, it does raise your blood pressure, but is it a factor that contributes to the development of hypertension? Caffeine is a stimulant found in various beverages.
It is quite hard to avoid this stimulant in your daily life.
It can be found in everyday soft drinks, tea, and coffee.
It is a fact that caffeine does increase your blood pressure immediately after consuming it.
Coffee is the liquid that is consumed most daily.
Coffee is not really bad, after all it does contain beneficial chemicals such as polyphenols that are known to combat heart disease.
Besides coffee having beneficial chemicals that contribute to the reduction of heart disease, it also promotes alertness.
This is due of course to the caffeine.
Being alert in the morning is a good thing and coffee is easy to make and delicious to drink.
Numerous medical studies have been to done to see if coffee is directly to blame for hypertension.
None of these studies have been 100% conclusive about this.
So at this point, we don't know if caffeine contributes to hypertension.
So continue drinking your cup of coffee, tea and soft drinks.
Should you worry about coffee? Well, you should drink coffee in moderation.
You should not chug it down and drink a whole 10 cup pot a day.
If you are a heavy coffee drinker, then you should consider reducing your coffee intake.
By reducing your caffeine intake, you cut the risk of raising your blood pressure and your risks of a sudden heart attack and stroke go down dramatically.
So drink your caffeine products wisely.
