Microsoft Word to HTML Software
- You can convert Word document files (DOC or DOCX) to HTML files with freeware. Programs such as DocConverter's Doc to HTML Converter and Desktop Software Tool's Convert Word to HTML are free to download and install on a computer. Freeware converters work well for small conversion jobs.
- Another alternative to using Word's internal converter is to use shareware such as Flash-Utility's Convert Word to HTML, TechnoRiver's Word to HTML Converter or SolutionSoft's WordtoWeb. Though not free, shareware products often have trial versions so you can try a product before purchasing. Download and install the shareware program to your hard drive by following the installation wizard. Open the program and then the Word file to convert. Select options for the file such as creating a template, a table of contents or frames. Click the "Create HTML" selection to create a website.
- You can download and purchase a HTML commercial editor such as Microsoft Expression or Adobe's Dreamweaver. These are robust HTML editors that allow users to import text from Word to use in creating websites.
