How to Completely Hide Windows Security Alerts From the Taskbar

    • 1). Log on to your PC computer with an account that has administrative privileges. Only administrators can control the taskbar security alerts.

    • 2). Open the Start menu and click on "Control Panel."

    • 3). Double-click on the "Security Center" icon. A new window will open with a summary of your security settings.

    • 4). Click on the link on the left side of the window labeled "Change the way Security Center alerts me."

    • 5). Uncheck the boxes next to "Firewall," "Automatic Updates" and "Virus Protection."

    • 6). Hit the "OK" button to save the settings and hide all future Windows taskbar security alerts.
