How To Grow The Biggest Pumpkin! Step By Step!
Learning how to grow the biggest pumpkin is not that hard if you follow the instructions I give you. Growing a giant pumpkin can be very rewarding and fun to do! But you do need to know what you are doing otherwise you might get really frustrated and give up before you really got started.
The first thing you need to know how to do in prepare your soil. ( If your interested you can also get my FREE soil preparing guide Here.) The thing about pumpkins is they need a lot of nutrients in order to get to the giant size we are looking for. So how do we do this?
1. Dig a hole that is around 4'x4' and put a layer of peat (perhaps a bag or two) with manure or compost on top of that. Another good thing is trying to add something like fish fertilizer once you have the pumpkin planted.
2. If it's still fairly warm outside you might consider starting the pumpkin growing inside your house. You need to also make sure that you purchase Giant pumpkin seeds which can be found many places.
3. When planting I recommend you plant at least 3 different seeds so at least one of them will turn out to be a giant pumpkin. This is important when learning how to grow the biggest pumpkin because you want to see results and keep going.
4. Once you plant the seeds you need to make sure they get plenty of water. Soak them daily, this is very important! If you skip this step you will not grow Giant pumpkins! Once your pumpkins start growing be sure to pinch off any flowers 5 or 6 feet from the tap root ( where the stem comes out of the ground.)
5. Feed your pumkins regular plant food and add manure and compost as the months go on.
