    • 1). Gather the base for your costume. Put on a black leotard and leggings or a black dress. Put on a pair of black high heeled shoes.

    • 2). Add a skirt if you are working with a leotard. Measure the costume wearer's waist and cut spider fabric to this measurement. Sew or glue the top of the fabric to the bottom of the leotard. Cut the fabric at angles. Use strips of tulle as a substitute if you prefer.

    • 3). Add sleeves. Use spiderweb fabric or lace. Measure the width from the costume wearer's shoulder to her elbow. Measure the length from the shoulder to the belly button. Cut the fabric at the width and length you measured. Glue to the sleeve seam on the leotard or dress. Chop up the bottom of the fabric so that the sleeve length measures between 3 and 12 inches at different locations.

    • 4). Add a headpiece. Wear a black witch's hat with a spiderweb design, a black hat with a small veil or a black lace chapel veil.

    • 5). Add accessories. Add plastic or felt spiders to the dress. Hang some spiders from the sleeves and skirt you constructed. Add black lace to the top of the high heels and around the shoe's straps. Add spiders to the headpiece. Glue in place with a hot glue gun. Drape a shawl over the shoulders. Add fake black fingernails and wear a black wig.

    • 6). Apply makeup. Place eyebrow plastic over eyebrows. Apply white cream makeup all over the face and neck. Add powder. Use a makeup brush to add black cream makeup to the eyebrow plastic. Add dark eyeshadow. Add long fake eyelashes, eyeliner and mascara. Apply red lip liner and lipstick.
