What"s Left to Negotiate on the Debt Ceiling Obama? It"s Time to Stop Spending Us Into Oblivion
President Obama and the Democrats suggest that we need to negotiate the future expenditures of our nation with the Republicans during the debt ceiling debate.
What the Democrats are forgetting, or perhaps they are hoping that the American taxpayer forgets is that they have already spent our nation's treasury into oblivion.
That is to say they've already spent trillions of dollars to bump into the debt ceiling limit in the first place.
This is very similar to giving a teenager a credit card, and when they spend their limit, they ask for a higher balance so they can spend more.
If your teenager is irresponsible with their expenditures, why an Earth would you allow them more rope to hang themselves.
That money eventually has to be paid back, and with interest.
And we all know eventually the credit cards will raise their interest rates, which is exactly what will happen in the future as the interest rates increase at the Federal Reserve.
Therefore the money they borrow today, they will pay back at a much higher rate, and let's not forget how compounded interest works.
There seems to be a difference of opinion on how we should run our country, and that's fine, and maybe we should talk about what we spend the money on, but no more rope should be alloted.
At this point those that have been the biggest spendthrifts have no business dictating the terms of any negotiation as far as the debt ceiling, or the next 10 to 14 years worth of federal budget.
Is amazing how the Obama Administration has back loaded ObamaCare, where much of the costs don't kick in until 2014, which would be two years into President Obama's second term, that is if he gets reelected.
Meanwhile, the Democrats wish to negotiate federal spending cuts and expenditures out into the future 10 to 14 years.
The Democrats won't be in power in 10 to 14 years, because no citizen of this United States or any taxpayer would wish to allow a political party which is done so much financial damage to our country to stay in power.
President Obama wrote a book that spoke about audacity, apparently that is a personal attribute which he wears very well.
After all, of all the audacity to insist that the Obama Administration dictate the terms of the negotiation for raising the debt ceiling, after blowing so much of our treasury on wasteful social programs is really pushing the limits of reality.
Indeed, maybe we need to put everything back into perspective, and a little financial responsibility back in power.
Indeed I hope you will please consider all this and think on it.
