How to Make Star Shaped Potatoes
- 1). Purchase your preferred potato variety. All types of potatoes, including white, red and sweet potatoes, are easily cut into a star shape.
- 2). Peel the potatoes using a vegetable peeler, then rinse the potatoes under cool water to remove any remaining dirt or debris.
- 3). Use a sharp knife to cut the potatoes into 1/3-inch thick slices.
- 4). Press a star-shaped cookie cutter into each potato slice to create a star-shaped potato piece.
- 5). Toss the star-shaped potato pieces with oil and add your favorite seasonings. Salt, pepper, garlic and herbs are all recommended. Pick flavors that complement the rest of your meal.
- 6). Place the star-shaped potato slices in a single layer on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
- 7). Bake the potatoes for approximately 30 minutes at 325 degrees Fahrenheit. When pierced with a fork, the center of a done potato slice will feel tender and not firm. Use a spatula to transfer the potatoes to a serving dish.
