    • 1). Click the Windows server "Start" button. Click "Administrative Tools" and then click "Exchange System Manager." This opens the main console.

    • 2). Right-click your current Exchange Server database name. Select "Dismount." This stops the currently running Exchange server if you have it currently installed and enabled.

    • 3). Click the Windows "Start" button again and select "All Programs." Click the "Backup Exec" program group and click "Backup Exec" to start the main software console.

    • 4). Click "All Resources" to expand a list of options. Click your server name on the left pane and then click "Microsoft Information Store." Click "First Storage Group."

    • 5). Click your restoration file from the list of backups and select "Restore." This may take several minutes to complete.
